It’s not good enough that it has been 34 years since our public bus system was last updated.
The Minister needs to explain why.
Excuses about lack of interest are just that – excuses.
How would they know if they haven’t updated it?
A lot has changed in Gympie over those past 34 years.
The region has grown a lot and is now experiencing pressure from significant population growth and interest from those looking to come here.
Gympie needs a complete review of the public bus system.
An internal review which the Department can put on the shelf and tick the box will not be good enough.
It needs to be transparent, made public, and the information released for everyone to see.
