No wonder people are frustrated with Queensland Health in this region.

I have no idea why it would be delayed.

This is typical of how Queensland Health treats this region.

A media release at the beginning of the week says a hub would open the following Monday.

By the end of the week, late on Friday, another release says it’s pushed out to the end of the month.

That’s a four-day turnaround to cancel what is supposed to be a major public health service.

It’s flippant if we’re not told why.

I’ve never received any advice that it was going to open, let alone why it was postponed.

There’s no explanation other than a media release by spin doctors which keeps everyone in the dark.

We’d prefer real doctors.

The Health Minister and the Government are quick to blame everyone else for their bumbling and stuff ups.

The Minister still hasn’t responded to representations made in May on behalf of doctors seeking to be able to provide vaccinations.

It is poor treatment of the people and the Gympie community to flick the switch on and off for a local hub with little notice with no explanation.

Anyone who wants to get vaccinated should be able to and not forced to fight to find somewhere to go.

Locals already find little to no communication when locals they try to register for a vaccination.

I’m not surprise with this latest development.

It’s typical of how they operate.
