Membership must be truly representative of the people of this region.
There will be a lot of information and issues for the stakeholders to absorb.
This can’t be another tokenistic box-ticking effort by the Government.
There is sensitivity in our community because of previous experiences with the failed
Traveston Dam project, and the need to ensure water security for Gympie.
Any proposal must also consider the future water needs of this region.
They must include additional water for urban, industrial, and agricultural growth.
