The Christmas season is a time of hope, selflessness and fellowship, a special time of the year when we come together to support one another.

I am proud of the way, once again, our community has embodied the true spirit of the season. From donating gifts and food to families in need, to lending a helping hand to neighbours facing challenges, our region has shown that our strength lies in our compassion and community.

These acts of kindness remind us of the values that sets our region apart and makes this time of year truly special.

The birth of Jesus Christ reminds us of renewal, love, and brighter days ahead. It’s a time to reflect on our blessings while also remembering those facing challenges. A small act of kindness, like checking on a neighbour or reaching out to someone feeling isolated, can make all the difference.

As we enjoy this special time with family and friends, I am particularly grateful to those giving up their own celebrations to keep us safe. Whether it’s our emergency services, healthcare workers, or volunteers, these dedicated individuals are standing guard to support and protect our community. Their selflessness once again reminds us of the true meaning of Christmas.

From my family to yours, <<First Name>>, I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a safe and hope-filled New Year!
