I am fully vaccinated.

I can understand how frustrated people are with the inconsistent and sometimes hypocritical positions of the State Government.

Never once has the Premier released the health advice.

I am constantly receiving representations from people frustrated by the system, who are impacted by measures, or concerned about the deterioration of our traditional freedoms and liberties.

I raise these with the Premier and Ministers.

We rarely receive a response.

Several Gympie region businesses have contacted me regarding the Queensland Health directed compulsory sign in procedures at their business.

Business owners are experiencing significant push back from community members and customers who do not wish to sign in.

These are small and family run businesses which do not have the luxury of extra staff to man entrances.

They already have a clearly visible QR code displayed in a prominent position as well as availability for those to manually sign in.

When customers are directed to the sign in options they are refusing, and in some cases being abusive.

I wrote to the Premier seeking an urgent response for business owners who want to know what do they do when a customer refuses to sign in, or check in on the QR app?

If they have made reasonable attempts to try to get the customer to comply, what are they expected, or required, to do to enforce the rules.

What protections do they have from any liability of the customers’ refusal to comply?

I have still not received a reply.
